Dear Friend of First Tuesdays,

I hope this find you and your loved one safe, healthy, and—I find myself saying this more and more as the crisis continues—sane. Once again we will be meeting virtually. This month, our featured reader will be Antoinette Brim, whose bio appears below.

I look forward to seeing you all on May 5th!

Best,
Richard

Registration & Open Mic Signup Information

To attend First Tuesdays on Zoom, you must register first. Click here to do so. Once you register, you will receive an email from Zoom, with my name (Richard Newman) in the From line, that contains the log on link. If you are someone who uses multiple email addresses, please be aware that this email will be sent to the email address you used to register. Also, please note that the log on link is unique to you, so please don't share it.

If you would like to read during the open mic, please email me. Last month, we had 20 open mic readers and I imagine we might get the same response this month. So, in order to be mindful of everyone's time and to make sure we leave room for the composition of the cento, I am going to ask that you plan on reading only one poem for the open mic. (If you like, have one in reserve, just in case we end up with a small enough number of readers.)

Other details:

  • I am going to open the meeting at around 6:45 and will plan to have Antoinette start reading around 7:15.

  • Once she starts reading, I am going to close the meeting, but I will reopen it when her reading is finished.

  • If you would normally have bought one of Antoinette's books were we meeting at Espresso 77, please consider ordering one or more of them.
